A comprehensive teaching solution for students to become proficient in transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).
With its accurate, palpable anatomical landmarks, hands-on training with this simulator will enable users to develop high levels of competence in image acquisition and interpretation of ultrasound views.
Slicing and removing sections of the beating, interactive 3D heart model reveals underlying structures that have been annotated, labeled and described. An integrated text book facilitates a comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy.
This simulator allows for real-time simulated TTE imaging of the virtual heart. The life-size mannequin torso has soft skin with accurate, palpable anatomical landmarks to aid positioning of the hand-held ultrasound probe.
On the screen, there is the ability to simultaneously identify the position of the probe on the virtual chest as well as to see the orientation of the ultrasound plane.
The anatomy display includes a representation of the chest wall, ribs, sternum and spine as well as great vessels, lungs, pericardium, diaphragm and liver. These structures are displayed in the ultrasound view with realistic effects on cardiac imaging.
Colour and spectral Doppler modalities are available along with the tools with which to make accurate quantitative assessment of cardiac function. Pulsed and continuous wave Doppler information can be obtained from any intra-cardiac region.
HeartWorks TTE Simulator includes HeartWorks Modules 1,2 & 3
HeartWorks offers a range of ultrasound simulators including the HeartWorks Dual simulator for teaching both TEE and TTE together in one manikin.
Our Support Plans give you access to new pathological model releases, Doppler imaging and measurement tool enhancements, as well as anatomical and software updates.
